FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:


At The Wellness Cottage Spa we currently offer In-Your-Home Spa and comming soon, a home based spa!


  • What is the minimum booking for individuals? The minimal service for the Fraser Valley is one service and for the Lower Mainland is two services.


  • What do I need to provide?  Our Estheticians bring everything needed for your appointment.


  • What do I need to book an appointment?  Please advise the date, time, location, and spa services requested.  Services are to be paid at time of booking.


  • Do you include gratuities in the price of the services?  Gratuities are not included in the price of the services but always greatly appreciated.  Should you wish to add a gratuity at time of booking it may be added to the credit card. Also clients may add a gratuity with cash on the day of the appointment.


  • Can additional services be added on the day of the appointment?  We will do our best to accommodate additional services based on availability during the appointment, however we need to know ahead of the appointment so that we can bring additional supplies and product.


  • What is your cancellation policy? Cancellations will be accommodated through rebooking of appointment and service.  Cancellations and Significant changes to appointments require 24 hours advance notice. Cancellations and changes made beyond the required time will be charged 50% of the service total. Bookings made on the same day then cancelled, will be charged 100% of the service(s) total. Group and event bookings require a minimum of 72 hours for cancellations or significant changes to appointments. Cancellations made beyond the required time will be charged 100% of the service(s) total. 

* please note that cancellation if you are unwell, a new appointment time for you will be accommodated only, and there will be no cancelation fees charged.

  • What is your procedure if someone is late?  Our Estheticians are scheduled according to the time required  for the spa treatment booked.  When a guest is late we do our best to accommodate them. Unfortunately we are not able to guarantee the full service if the guest is late.


  • What are your safety policies?  The Wellness Cottage Spa is committed to the health and safety of our clients. We maintain the highest level of hygiene.  All implements are sanitized after each use.  When possible disposable items are used in our spa treatments. 


  • Yes we can bring our spa to you! Our goal is to provide the ultimate relaxing experience in the comfort of our home studio or your home location!


  • What geographic areas do you serve? We are currently serving the Fraser Valley, Tri-Cities,  Langley, New Westminster, and White Rock South Surrey areas.


  • How far do you travel and do you have travel fees? We will travel to any location in the Fraser Valley and some parts of the Lower Mainland!  A flat rate travel fee applies to all areas and parking fees are not included and will be added if applicable for all locations. When booking your service, simply click the area you live in to add the travel fees to your service.


  • Where do we bring our services?  Home, hotel, workplace, corporate event, fundraiser, or location of your choice.


​HOW TO PREPARE FOR YOUR UPCOMMING TREATMENT


Now that you have booked and in-your-home spa treatment with The Wellness Cottage Spa there are a few things you can do to prepare your home for your upcoming treatment.

1.      Please have a comfortable area that is quiet, clutter free on the floor area, clean and well lit, for set up for your treatment. A livingroom or spare room is great.

·         Foot Treatments require a comfortable chair for your to sit in and an ottoman as well. If you do not have one, please let me know and I can bring a zero gravity chair and foot stool.

·         Facial and Massage treatments require a spacious enough area to set up a massage table and side table.

1.      Please have access to a water source as with Foot and Facial treatments I will need to change the water I use.

2.      With the summer heat, please make sure the room or area is well ventilated and with the Winter cool, please make sure the room or area is well heated.

3.       Please make sure you are well hydrated and have had a chance to eat if you need to.

4.      Please let me know of any health issues, concerns or allergies that you may have as I may need to augment treatment or products if needed.

5.      Because The Wellness Cottage Spa treatments are focused on wellness, I ask that you not consume any alcohol or drugs (other than prescribed medications) prior or during the treatment.

6.      I will arrive 15 minutes early to set up the area for your treatment, in this time I will have some forms for you to fill out and require payment if it is not already submitted.

7.      If there are others in your home at the time of your treatment, please ask them to provide you privacy for your treatment. This is your special time to relax and unwind,  and a quiet, peaceful, uninterrupted environment will assist in you receiving the full benefit of your treatment.

8.      At the end of your treatment, please sit and relax or lay and relax while I pack up.  I will only need a few minutes to be done.

9.      Please make sure after your treatment you stay well hydrated as this helps to cleanse the body of any toxins.
